Honey is an incredible digestive aid. Those who use honey in cooking may notice improved digestion and a reduction in stomach discomfort.

Honey was used in cooking and there are Insular references to meat rubbed with honey and salt and cooked over and open fire. Salmon was also baked in honey.

When preparing jams and jellies, honey can be substituted for sugar, if the recipe calls for 4 cups of sugar, it can be replaced with two cups of honey, and the jelly need to be cooked a little longer.

In muffin, bread and rolls, calling for s small amount of sugar, honey can also replaced the sugar measure for measure without any other judgment.

Most people use honey in tea or coffee or in toast or packages. Barbeque sauce salad dressings, vegetable dips and other condiments also can be made with honey instead of using commercial brands that contain sugar or corn syrup.

Honey is also fundamental ingredient in some medicinal wines and vinegars. In one case herbs are crushed and immersed for 10 to 30 days in the wine, to which some alcohol may added in order to improve the extraction and preservation.
