What is barbecue sauce?
The perfect complement to grilled or roasted foods is barbecue sauce, with its sweet and sour flavors. Barbecue sauce with a high sugar content ensures a nice glaze.
Barbecue sauce is a relatively new type of table sauce in the country that is also usually added to food immediately prior to consumption.
Barbecue sauces are made to sauce or glaze the meat at the end of the cooking time. Because of their high sugar content, sauce should only be brushed on during the final 5 to 15 minutes of cooking time.

Spices are the basis for flavor in barbecue. Although some such recipes may appear to have very similar ingredients, it is how they are measured and developed that goes each sauce its own creative flavor.
For many people, barbecue sauce is the heart and soul of barbecue flavor. The most popular types of barbecue sauces are sweet, red, tomato based sauces, even though there are many other varieties.
